By time the pride of man brought them to be willing as close as possible by God to partake as much as possible of the godhead and therefore they started building a tower to reach the skies. The monument was not really meant to be for God. The mentality of those people showed how people wanted to pull the attention on their own achievements. Such high construction which came to appear in Babylon was to boast of their city as not only impregnable, being it the heavenly city, babili (“the gate of God”). But the Adonai, Elohim Hashem Jehovah, came down to look over the city and the tower that the humans were building. He saw that there would be no barrier for them in all that they schemed to do! To stop their effort Jehovah baffled their language and therefore its name was called Bavel/Babble.

“They said to one another, “Come! Let’s make bricks and bake them until they’re hard.” So they used bricks for stone, and tar for mortar. Then they said, “Come! Let’s build ourselves a city, with a tower whose top reaches into heaven. So let’s make a name for ourselves, or else we will be scattered over the face of the whole land.” Then ADONAI came down to see the city and the tower that the sons of man had built. ADONAI said, “Look, the people are one and all of them have the same language. So this is what they have begun to do. Now, nothing they plan to do will be impossible. Come! Let Us go down and confuse their language there, so that they will not understand each other’s language.”
So ADONAI scattered them from there over the face of the entire land, and they stopped building the city. This is why it is named Babel, because ADONAI confused the languages of the entire world there, and from there ADONAI scattered them over the face of the entire world.”

Being scattered from there over the face of all the earth, the peoples looked for ways to have a relationship with God or with gods they hoped would answer them more than the Divine Creator of Whom they found did not want to give them what they wanted. By giving korban to their gods they hoped those gods would come closer to them. Many closed their ears for the sayings of God that the false gods would not listen to them because they are not real, but are just images man made to please himself. Man was told not to make any graven image of the Most High nor of other gods to worship.

“Do not make for yourself a graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above or on the earth below or in the water under the earth. Do not bow down to them, do not let anyone make you serve them. For I, ADONAI your God, am a jealous God, bringing the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing lovingkindness to the thousands of generations of those who love Me and keep My mitzvot.”

But people loved to have figurines in their houses, so they could feel their gods close with them and able to take them everywhere they went. Many were afraid that if they would not take their gods with them they would be alone in a world of nothingness. they did not seem to be afraid of the warnings of the Most High God.

“But if your heart turns away and you do not listen, but are drawn away and bow down to other gods and worship them, I tell you today that you will certainly perish! You will not prolong your days on the land, where you are about to cross over the Jordan to go in to possess.”
(Deuteronomy 30:17–18 TLV)

From out of the nothingness, the heavens, God kept calling. Several people acted rightly on this call and did everything to worship their God of gods in a worthy manner. Some men and women were eager to keep to One God and to make only korban for him. As such we can see there were people not like the majority, who preferred to be apart of the rest and therefore by god were also considered all the time a “am kadosh”, a holy people, beholden to Him.

Avraham had taken a calf to offer it up as a gesture of hospitality, and it became the model for openness, being welcoming and generous. For his efforts, Abraham was told he would have a son, to fulfil God’s plan that he would be the father of a great people. When Avraham was told by God to take his son, his only son, the son he loved, Yitshaq (Isaac) and make him an offering to God, the son was ultimately replaced by a ram.

“Then He said, “Take your son, your only son whom you love—Isaac—and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains about which I will tell you.””

“Then they came to the place about which God had told him, and Abraham built the altar there, laid out the wood, bound up Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar, on top of the wood. Then Abraham reached out his hand and took the knife to slaughter his son. But the angel of ADONAI called to him from heaven and said, “Abraham! Abraham!”
He said, “Hineni!”
Then He said, “Do not reach out your hand against the young man—do nothing to him at all. For now I know that you are one who fears God—you did not withhold your son, your only son, from Me.”
Then Abraham lifted up his eyes and behold, there was a ram, just caught in the thick bushes by its horns. So Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up as a burnt offering instead of his son. Abraham named that place, ADONAI Yireh,—as it is said today, “On the mountain, ADONAI will provide.””

From nothingness God had created and would still keep providing for man. As such man should not be afraid to have a shortage of what he need. Like the animals can always find something to eat man also shall find enough to eat. The only thing God asks is to trust Him. though the majority prefers to trust people they can see and who are able to show their power and leadership. Many do not want to hear the warnings of the prophets (men from God) or the Elohim Himself.

“Do not put your trust in princes— in man, in whom there is no salvation.”
(Psalm 146:3 TLV)

“Oy, those going down to Egypt for help. They are relying on horses, trusting in chariots since they are many, and in horsemen since they are very mighty, but do not look to the Holy One of Israel nor seek ADONAI!”

“. Do not trust in deceptive words and say ‘The Temple of ADONAI, the Temple of ADONAI, the Temple of ADONAI!’”

“Thus says ADONAI: “Cursed is the one who trusts in man, and depends on flesh as his arm, and whose heart turns from ADONAI.”

“Trust in ADONAI with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear ADONAI and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your body and refreshment to your bones. Honor ADONAI with your wealth and with the first of your entire harvest. Then your barns will be filled with plenty, your vats will overflow with new wine.”

The Right One to trust saw the korban many people wanted to make. But those people had to know there was only one real or proper korban necessary. God knew that it was going to be made and told already in the Gan Eden about that solution for washing away the wrong doing of man.

Even when God saw at several occasions His own people going astray or doubting His sovereignty, the Elohim was willing to wipe out their transgressions too.

“Remember these things, Jacob, and Israel, for you are My servant. I formed you, you are My servant. Israel, you will not be forgotten by Me! I have blotted out your transgressions like a thick cloud and your sins like a mist. Return to Me, for I have redeemed you.””
(Isaiah 44:21–22 TLV)

Throughout the ages, clearly the Elohim gave man enough chances to come back to Him and to become redeemed. To the navi the Hashem requested to make His Name known all over the earth and to tell people about a coming Saviour. In the Gan Eden God had already given His Word that the crusher of the evil one would come and after many centuries it was time to bring that “lamb of God” onto the earth. with that lamb man would have the most perfect korban, the ransom offering to cover all the sins of mankind.

When people would be willing to keep their heart and soul clean, everyday working to be changed from the inside out, they unlike the culture around them, always dragging people down to its level of immaturity, shall find God bringing the best out of them, developing well-formed maturity in them. (Romans 12:1-2)
